Jungian analysis is also known as Analytical Psychology.
Dr. Carl Jung was concerned with the whole person. He placed special emphasis on dreams and the imagination as ways to find the true self. Many of us suffer from an imbalance in our lives, which makes us feel we are not in control. This is because we are out of touch with ourselves. Jungian analysis aims to redress this imbalance and bring us back in touch with our true selves. Jung called this the journey of Individuation.
As well as bringing us into touch with our true selves and enhancing our creativity, we become more comfortable and successful in the world. We develop a deeper sense of connection with ourselves in our personal and social relationships, and this helps us make better choices.
In-depth analysis may mean meeting the analyst for several sessions each week. I offer such intensive therapy courses as well as once-weekly sessions.
The sessions are 50 minutes long, the first session may be a little longer.
When we first meet we look at what is troubling you and talk about practical arrangements such as fees and appointment times.
My fee is negotiable depending on your personal circumstances. The fee may be lower for analysis involving more than one session per week. Fees are reviewed annually.
I am situated close to four main line railway stations: Herne Hill, Denmark Hill, North Dulwich and Loughborough Junction. These provide fast links to Victoria and London Bridge; Thameslink trains go to South West London and Central and North London.
Brixton tube station is nearby (Victoria line)
There are reliable bus services south to Norwood, Crystal Palace, Dulwich and northwards to Camberwell, Elephant and Castle, Waterloo, Euston.
